  1. CCR - 29/60

    Blog Tool; 8/20
    - the brief was to include 1 blog tool per question. This was obviously included last minute. Unfortunately the quality isn't up to scratch. The questions are all on 1 blog too, cut and pasted into 4 slides so it's basically an essay on a slide to try read. There's also nothing visually interesting like pictures or graphics. Your first slide also has random parts to it obviously left in by mistake from the template. Please put some more effort into presentation in PT2! the marks lost add up...

    Question 1 - 6/10
You included a basic list of conventions and that's great. I would have loved to see a lot more. remember we are going for details! You could have included camera shots/ angles/ movement (you had things like close-up's, tracking shots etc), what about time of day you shot in? Setting and location? Type of characters used? You also don't answer the second part of the question which is whether the conventions used challenge or conform to usual thriller conventions.

    Question 2 - 4/10
    - this question needed a lot more insight, analysis and reflection. What you wrote there could have been made into 1 point. I gave you a list of prompt questions the brief and I don't feel like you answered any of those really...

    Question 3 - 5/10
    - some valid points here. Obviously you are experienced in the process but I still need to see evidence of what you learnt to do.
    - this is where I wanted to see you show off everything you learnt from pre-production to production through to post-production. Where's the pictures? Where's the details about what you found hard? What did you learn? What challenges did you overcome? You say you made good use of the lighting you had, what sort of lighting did you use? (back lighting/ 3 point lighting etc). What did you learn to do in pre-production? Did you storyboard? Did you do script? mention everything and analyse the process.

    Question 4 - 6/10
    - a good basic list of technologies integrated into your project but not really detailed/ visually interesting. You can include all websites you used to upskill in things like After Effects, what MP3 converter you used, camera make and model or at least a picture of it, sound gear information, lighting kit photos of what you learnt to do and how you used the lighting kits... you elude to a lot of learning but in terms of evidence and analysing it, it is still very surface observations.
